Isle of Man - small but sporty.

Just 33 miles long by 13 wide. Something for everyone and so near. Under 1 hour by air, two and a half  by Seacat, under 4 via ferry.

Medical and Health

The Isle of Man signed a new Reciprocal Healthcare Agreement with the UK in 2010.

This means UK residents visiting the island continue to receive free emergency healthcare. Official Statement

Pre-Existing Medical Conditions

The agreement covers existing health problems such as heart disease, high blood pressure and conditions under treatment or investigation.

But the IOM has limited resources and speciality in medical matters due to size.

The agreement won't cover the cost of an air ambulance back to UK or hospital transfer if you need repatriation home for specialist care.

You will need the medical cover under travel insurance for this.

Hazardous sports and activities

If you are taking part in any hazardous sports or activities  consider buying suitable cover so you can enjoy the best of what this small island has to offer.
